From Monita’s regional Xi’an family dishes to Josh’s years living and eating throughout Thailand—and Sunday-night Chinese takeout.
When Josh had a sudden allergic reaction to one of our favorite dishes and Monita’s dad was diagnosed with diabetes, both needed to drastically change their diets. We watched them lose the cultural connection to the Asian favorites around our family table.
Monita set out to test hundreds of recipes she could serve without compromising taste. As we shared those dishes, we realized our family was far from alone.
That’s why we founded Happy Tummy.
We preserve the big, familiar flavors we know and love while designing prepared meals around allergen-conscious ingredients—so more people can enjoy a happy tummy and a place at the table.
